LIGHT ALLOY WHEELS
Alloy wheels (in most cases aluminum) are divided into three categories: alloy, forged and combined.
Alloy
Cast disks are made by molding in form. As a rule, aluminum, magnesium and very rarely titanium alloys are used.
After casting, it undergoes thermal and mechanical treatment.
Forged
Forged wheels are made by energy-intensive hot stamping. After forging the wheel is heat treated. The final form of the disk gets after machining and painting. This is one of the most expensive types of production of alloy wheels (forgings can have a mass of up to 25 kg - one wheel output is 5 kg plus large energy and labor costs).
Сombined
A type of wheel that usually consists of two or more parts. Each of which can be manufactured using different technologies (for example: spokes- aluminum alloy, casting. Rim - titanium rolling, rolling).
