Mercedes:where did the story begin?

The history of Mercedes goes back to November 1890. True to that moment, the company was called Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft. Its honorary founders are Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Lorenz and Max Duttenhofer. It was these people in their small workshop in 1886 that constructed the first four-wheeled car of the Mercedes brand, which was equipped with a gasoline engine. From 1898 to 1901, the company developed rapidly with the efforts of Emil Jellinek, a Daimler representative in France, and Wilhelm Maybach, one of the first car designers. The first full-fledged Mercedes cars came into being in 1901 and were named after Jellinek's daughter.

Volcanic rubber was invented by Charles Goodyear in 1844 and was later used to make tires. Later John Dunlop invented pneumatic tires, that is, filled with air for bicycles, but his patent was revoked in favor of another inventor, Robert Thompson. In 1895, André Michelin intended to use them on cars, but the idea failed. The first successful car tire was The Hardman Tire & Rubber Company, invented in 1911 by Philip Strauss.
